Vaccination:
We only accept guests that are vaccinated, and where the vaccination
is valid. Also with new vaccine against kennel cough
At Birkemose Dog and Cat Boarding Kennels, a three-year vaccination
is only valid for two years.
Condition:
All guests must be fit and healthy. We do not accept animals that
are in a weakened state, such as one resulting from: an operation,
an infection, an infectious disease or a similar condition.
We do accept guests with chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, and
those that receive pills.
Pills, special food or other special treatment:
Birkemose Dog and Cat Boarding Kennels has many years of experience
in running animal boarding kennels, for which reason there is no
problem about treating guests / giving pills / injections in the
place of your pet’s vet.
We also gladly administer other food supplements and the like, that
your pet is used to getting.
Vet:
We have a vet permanently connected with the boarding kennels. If
there is the slightest doubt about the animals’ health or condition,
we contact the vet.
In heat:
All female cats that are not neutered must take birth control pills
during their stay. We recommend that cats that do not normally take
birth control pills start taking the pills at least one week before
their stay. Birth control pills are prescribed by your pet’s vet.
The reason for this is that cats in heat arouse male cats, even if
the male cats are castrated.
A dog in heat costs from 250 kroner per day started. We recommend
that the dog receive a birth control injection from the vet.
DOGS:
Small dogs:
160 kroner per day started for small dogs (Dachshund, Cairn terrier,
Danish-Swedish farm dog).
270 kroner per day started for 2 small dogs.
Hereafter, 110 kroner per day started for more small dogs.
Medium-sized dogs:
180 kroner per day started for medium-sized dogs (for example Cocker spaniel or
Beagle).
310 kroner per day started for 2 medium-sized dogs.
Hereafter, 130 kroner per day started for more medium-sized dogs.
Large dogs:
200 kroner per day started for 1 large dog (for example, German shepherd,
Hovawart, Labrador).
350 kroner per day started for 2 big dogs.
Hereafter, 150 kroner per day started for more big dogs.
Very large dogs:
260 kroner per day started for 1 very large dog (for example, New foundlander,
Great Dane).
440 kroner per day started for 2 very large dogs.
Hereafter, 180 kroner per day started for more very large dogs.
There will be a supplementary charge added for dogs in heat.
CATS:
1 cat: 125 kroner per day started.
2 cats: 190 kroner per day started in a double-cage.
More cats: 75 kroner per day started in the same cage.
An extra charge is applicable for taking care of cats that require
extra grooming and such like.
